In July 2011 Roesner P/L installed a new automated paint mixing system at its manufacturing facility in Harvey, Western Australia.

The Kremlin PU3000 system is installed in the priming area of the surface treatment division of the factory. It ensures accurate metering and measurement of paint and hardeners and minimizes material wastage.

The new automated system enables the use of a two part primer for undercoating of the Multispread chassis, hoppers and mechanical components. The surface coverage of the primer averages 120 microns. The PU3000 utilises Roesner’s existing electrostatic coating system which uses charged particles to ensure a workpiece has even paint coverage.

The PU3000 system complements the Graco automated mixing employed in the top coating area of the factory which was installed in 2003.

At a time when manufacturing is declining in Australia, Roesners continue to invest in the latest technologies to ensure that the company remains competitive and continues to produces high quality machinery for agriculture in Australia.

OFSB Testing at Greenbushes

For the past 18 months Roesner Pty Ltd has worked with Brandrill Ltd on the OFSB. The patented Open Face Safety Barrier is designed to protect workers from falling from open faces in mining and civil applications. The modular system features a set of lightweight poles and base plates that support a heavy duty net. All parts of the system are reusable and can be quickly erected and taken down.

Final site testing of the mk4 OFSB prototype took place at Brandrill’s Greenbushes operations last week. More photos of the upcoming trials in the Pilbara will follow in the coming months.
